It's Tiddly Tuesday!!!!!!

Wooohoo it's another Tiddly Tuesday and to add to all the fun it is also a new image release!!!!!!!!

Introducing Wryn Scooting By!!!  She comes with options for adding in a pup or a cat . Such a  cute new image for this time of year!

Here is my CAS take on this image and using this weeks May Flowers challenge. I know it would have been so easy for me to do my usual layers upon layer with flowers and lace for the challenge but I wanted to try something different.

I kept it simple using a 12 inch patterned paper from an old American Crafts Amy Tangerine paper pack. The placement of the patter fit in perfectly with the colors and sizing of my Wryn image. The streaks make it seem as if Wryn is actually moving ...on a pink powder puff road no less!!! The added bonus was the Bohemian flowers already stamped on the page. All I need to do was add Wryn with some foam dots and a message that would cheer up anyone's day!  The "talk bubble" sentiment came from a scrap I had from I believe the Hey Kid collection.  The final touch was a bit of sparkle using Stickles Crystal glitter glue.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks card make sure you head on over to the Tiddly Inks Blog and check out the other amazing DT creations... not to mention play along yourself there are lots of images in our Freebie section to try out!

With heartfelt sympathy

About 2 weeks ago we lost a special member of our family, Uncle Alan.  I have fond memories of visiting him and Aunt Isabel from when I was younger. They lived on the other side of the country so it made for a long trip to see them.  I volunteered (of course) to make the card to send since we would not be able to attend the services and I just wanted to share with all of you.  I really hate having to make cards for this reason but I love how this one turned out.

The card is a simple 6 inch squares with distress edging , thanks to the Prima Distress tool and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The papers are all from the Prima Butterfly Collection, the flowers are also Prima ( La Tela -Canvas and a rose from I believe the Coffee Break collection) . The final touches were a scrap of leftover lace and some of my favorite accessory Prima Say it with Crystals Circles (seriously I may cry if they get rid of these).

Anyway I hope you enjoy the card , sorry I did not photograph the inside for display as it has personal sentiments in it that are meant only for family. I am sure you all understand. Have a wonderful weekend!

Who doesn't LOVE Prima!!!!

Ok some quick business first... some of you may have noticed the disappearance of some of my posts and tutorials . Please don't worry they will be back I just had to remove them until after they are published!!!! So stay tune I will let you know when they are back, some were just picked up and some will be back really soon!!!!

Now on for the MAIN EVENT .. I am going to throw my hat in the ring for the chance at an amazing opportunity.. to be part of the Prima Marketing Design Team.  I know there are so many other amazing designers out there but as I tell my students  if you don't try you can never know the joy of success.

It was hard to choose what projects I love the most  and clearly describe my style that use Prima....partially because I am pretty sure EVERY project I make has at least a little bit of Prima wonderfulness on it. Whether it's a burst of glitter from a Color Bloom Spray  to their amazing Flowers and Embellishments ..to the staple in every crafter's wardrobe...PAPER they have every corner covered and there is a little bit of  of wonderful to appeal to every artist. But really this is nothing new to your ears.

Anyway I decided to showcase some of my most recent creations... now they aren't all a 100% Prima but that's part of what I love about this company . Their collections are amazing just on there own ..the creations you can make are breathtaking. BUT they also work beautifully with other product lines.

First up is my newest creation a 12 by 12 layout featuring my Hubby and middle son.. mental note for next time is to take the plastic out of the frame as it really plays havoc when I am trying to take a picture. The only reason this isn't a Prima frame is I ran out of them and the local store was SOLD OUT!!! And we all know when inspiration hits we just must create.... but don't worry I have a few on order can't live with out those frames!!!!    The layout is a bit of a mix media venture for me I chose colors I don't usually work with, trying to step out of the box a bit. I just love this paper from the Epiphany line the line art and subtle colors provided the perfect background to add to.  I stenciled in a filigree with some modeling paste and added some color using FaberCastell Gelatos and Prima Watercolor pencils.  I mixed and matched my flowers from my bin of leftovers , and finished off the layout by continuing the circle theme with the Prima Say it in Crystals Circles in Iridescent.  I am so happy how this turned out!!!

This layout features some older school photos of my daughter.  The background image is from the Prima Ledger 12 inch pad.  I really like how this pads color scheme coordinates with so many of the current and past Prima collections. It offers an alternative to mix in to the collection to create a whole new look.  I used more of my leftovers on this one. Including paper scraps from the Princess Collection and a scrap of  Prima canvas.  I mixed up the Prima flowers with a few odds and ends and even a piece of broken Christmas embellishment Twig.  The resin butterflies and wood pieces add the perfect finishing touch to my take on a simpler layout.

Next up is a simple 12 inch canvas it feature the wonderful 12 Inch Free Spirit Bloom Girl Stencil. I applied her with modeling paste and then sprayed her in bright orange and pinks. Sorry I don't have the color list... I was in the moment and this was made more for me than as a share but I LOVE it so much I had to share. I embellished her hair in a multitude of Prima flowers and metal embellishments and finished it off with some vintage lace and Thickers letters with the message which was the whole point of this project... to inspire myself.  I hope it inspires you as well.

This sweet card features the lovely Wryn-Fairy Friends from Tiddly Inks . I colored her to compliment the card which I made using the Prima Butterfly Collection.   I love how edging the papers with the Prima Distress tool gave the card the perfect vintage feel.  The cream roses and the cream Prima lace just add to the effect. The image is colored with Copics but I am looking forward to trying out the Prima Palette Markers.

Here is another of my favorite cards. The image is by Ppinky Dolls  and it works beautifully with the Prima Epiphany collection. The resin butterflies and crystal circles add the perfect compliment to the collection.  I used the 3 by 4 Journal cards as well as the 6 inch pad to make this card. The 3 by 4 cards are perfect for layering..no cutting needed and the images are just the perfect scale for a card!

Ok I needed to share this page because it shows not only that gorgeous Prima Frame and the wonderful Prima Princess Collection Paper ..but it shows how wonderfully Prima works with other lines as well. I made this layout as a use your leftovers layout. The other pieces are just leftovers that were sitting in a bin waiting for a project. Look how the Prima items provide the perfect grounding point for the rest of the items.

I hope you have enjoyed my post and my Prima inspired creation have inspired you to go and create something for yourself.  But just in case you need further inspiration make sure you check out the wonderful challenge Prima Blog has this month. There is a BAP and a PPP hope you play along... I think this is what will be inspiring my creations tonight..so check back soon to see what I make!!! Happy Crafting!

Oh my goodness it's to much wonderfulness to stand!!!!!!!!

Hello again my Tiddly Inks friends... it's Tuesday so time for another wonderful challenge from Tiddly Inks Stamps!  PLUS some extra surprises!!!!!!!

First off this weeks challenge was Springs in... for some reason this makes me think of bunnies ...and hopping.  Maybe its the sleep deprivation but my head didn't just go to the traditional bright colors and flowers...at first. But this is what I love about Tiddly Inks Challenges its your interpretation of the theme and we love to see what everyone is coming up with!!!

So here is my card ... it's a little different for me in the fact I combined 2 different Wryn Stamps to create it.  I used the Clear Version Stamp set of Somebunny in order to get the adorable little rabbits...and Wryns "ears" and I used Wryn- Hopping by Digital stamp for the main Wryn image.

I think it turned out great and will add it to my pile of cards for my mother ..especially since it has 4 little bunnies one for each of my kids.

The paper used is from the Prima Epiphany Collection and the flowers and Sequin trim are also Prima.  The Sequin trim is a new favorite of mine from Frank Garcia collection for Prima.  The lace is a scrap from my lace box and the metal flowers are from Kaisercraft.  The sticky letter sentiment is from My little Shoe Box.

Wryn and her furry friends are of course colored in copics. Colors used are: E000, E00, E04, E21, E11, C1, C0, C3, C4, C7, C9, C10, RV10, RV11, RV13, RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09, BV00, BV01, BV02, BV04, BV08 BV29, BG000, BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18, YG01, YG06, YG09

I hope you enjoyed thos card as much as I enjoyed making it. Now on to the other wonderfulness!!!!!

It's another Fab Friday!!!!

Welcome back it is a beautiful Fab Friday here.....the snow is gone and its sunny and warm! Anyone who knows Northern Alberta knows this is a miracle occurrence for a April 10th.

Today will be a quick post as I am busy trying to catch up on everything that fell to the sidelines while I have been ill.

The card features the wonderful  Tiddly Inks Wryn-Skater Girl colored with copics on Cryogen White Card stock by Curious Metallic. The background paper used is from the Kaiser Craft Lavender Haze 6 inch paper pad and plain white cardstock..  I kept the card simple using only a distress tool for the edging and a few rhinestones in the corners.

A trick to get that rich distressed edge look as I have is to mount each layer on card stock before using your tool it will add the thickness needed to keep the paper from over tearing.

I hope you have enjoyed this card..make sure you check out the Tiddly Inks Blog and the wonderful creations the rest of our amazing DT have created this week. I will see you Tuesday!!!!!

Anything goes!!!!

Well first off I must apologize to you all for being gone for so long. I suffered a serious health crisis in February  and have been spending much of this last month dealing with the effects and coming to terms with my new situation.  This has of course left me little time to pursue my DT work ..thank goodness I work for the amazing Christy of Tiddly Inks who has been so patience and understanding about my situation.

I know most of you saw a couple of my creations on the DT website but the links did not work. I am sorry for that ... apparently one of the side effects of this meds must be your brain thinking you had done stuff you actually had not...it's either that or Gremlins!!!

Anyway enough of that .. I am here today to show you my card for this weeks Challenge ...Anything Goes !

My card features the Digi stamp Wryn- Fairy Friends she is one of the first stamps I ever got from Tiddly Inks!  I chose a muted vintage color palette to coordinate with the Prima Butterfly collection papers I used.

I kept the vintage look up with the distressed edging on the paper, and then accented with cream roses and lace. The final touch being a brass Fab Scraps butterfly and pearl strands.

I forgot to write down the Copics I used but I will try and figure it out and update this blog tomorrow with them.

I hope you all have enjoyed this card and will go on and create your own entry for this weeks challenge!

TINGO Tuesday!!!

Well first off I owe everyone an apology.... I know I did not post at all last week after the scheduled Monday post. Unfortunately I caught the nasty evil bug that had attacked my family.  Anyone who has had Norwalk or any or the Noro virus variants will understand when I say....There was nothing I could do, it hits like a Mac truck and you are down and there is no doing anything else until its had its way with you. So needless to say I will be catching up on the missing posts this week. Thank you everyone for your understanding in this.

This Tuesday it is TINGO time at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  Make us a sample using at least one line of this Bingo sheet..(make sure you go through the middle) then share it on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog for your chance to win! I look forward to seeing your creations!

Here is my creation using Shine Bright-Flapper Couple.   I used all of the Bingo board...how could I resist.

The patterned paper is Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 8 inch pad and they are matted with Tim Holtz Cardstock.  The embossing folder used is an older Stamping up one.  The Die Cuts used are Heartfelt Creations Blossom Corner.  The Buttons and Lace are vintage , and the Pearl trim is Prima Marketing. The ribbon is vintage Harmonie and the covered brad is vintage Stampin Up.

The papers on the card were all gently distressed with my Prima Distressing tool and Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Ink Pad.  I then touched up the edges with Diamond Stickles.

I hope you enjoyed the card and I look forward to seeing the creations you make for Tingo Tuesday.

Happy Crafting!

Then I mounted Sweet Little girl on top after coloring her to coordinate with the papers.  A simple sweet easy to create card... no embellishments needed!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

It's Monday again so time for another creation featuring an image from Chi Chi Memories . This week I chose Joyful Season Girl from the Joyful Season Value set.  She is a sweet image perfect  for scrapbook pages, cards and 3D projects.

I was clearly influenced by the unending Frozen Music playing in the background when choosing my sentiments and colors.  Doesn't she look like a toddler Anna !

The papers used are from the BoBunny Avalanche collection, and they are mated with Black Soot Distress Cardstock.

She was printed on Cryogen White paper by Curious Metallic using my Kodak Inkjet Printer.  I love this paper because it has a subtle sparkle to the paper and it lets my copic markers blend really well.

Colors used:
Skin: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E33, E35, E37, E47,
Clothes: B00, B01, B02, B04, V01, V04, V06, V09, C3, C5, C7, C9

The final touches to this card were some extra sparkles from Stardust Stickles , and some mettalic Snowflake embellishments that actually came off my broken Christmas garland.

I hope you have enjoyed the card and we will see you next week for more Chi Chi Memories creations!

Its a simply Steampunk kind of day!

Well its been a crazy weekend around here. The horrible events of the last 48 hours have hit just a little to close for comfort.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the officers and their family who have been injured in this tragic event. But also to our dear friends whose family home has been violated and their lives forever changed.

So everyone give those you love that extra squeeze next time you see them!

Today I decided to showcase one of the cards I made before Christmas. It features La-La Land Crafts Top Hat Marci she is available in both Digital and Rubber versions.  I made this card to showcase that you can make an elaborate card without a bunch of expensive embellishments or die cutting machines. This also makes it easier to mail and you do not have the extra charges associated with very thick cards.

Most important step is to make sure to pick a paper set with lots contrast and interest. The top paper from the BoBunny Somewhere in Time  paper pad had clocks and gears on it and I just cut and positioned my La La Land image to allow them to appear as embellishments.  I made sure to mat each layer of the paper with black cardstock. This allows the eye to focus on each paper individually   and make them appear important like framed artwork . Try and keep the rule of mixing up the pattern sizes of the paper  a contrast of colors as well as small ,medium, and large prints helps make the individual pieces stand out and not become a blur of images.

Try to chose colors when coloring you image that both coordinate with the paper but also allow the image to "pop" on the page.  For this image I stuck with the blue and grey theme but made the grey a purplish grey and the brightened up the blue shade in order to make it pop out and you eye to focus on it.

The colors used are :

Skin: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E15, E18, R89, C6
Clothes: B02, B04, B05, B06, C00, C1, C3, BV11, BV13, BV17, Y32, Y35, Y38
Also on the Hat/shoes: BV23, BV25, BV29

The only final accents  were the "gears" which I traced out and cut out on paper. Some Glossy Accents  on the clock and circle letters for contrast, a hint on Wink of Stella clear glitter for some sparkle. And some small rhinestones in the corners on the papers just for fun.

I hope you have enjoyed this project , make sure you keep checking back throughout the week for new projects from me.

Happy crafting!

Ohhhh Fingers , toes ..and everything crossed.......

So as you know my Design Team term ended January 1st with Tiddly Inks Stamps....and I was heartbroken to leave....even my little girl was upset!  This hands down has been the best team I have worked on! So many supportive and talented ladies... I hope I shall forever call friends! Headed by the amazing designer and owner Christy who has been amazing... she even made my little girl a design team member!!!!  I miss it SO MUCH  ...and guess what ...Christy is having another Design Team call!!! Woooohoooo!!!  Now I know chances are slim as there are so many talented creators out there but I just had to try.

So I decided since she already knows I can make cards using her wonderful images  I wanted the make something different. So after much though and consultation .... even making a couple cards just in case it felt "right" I came up with this. Back to my scrapbooking roots and this adorable layout featuring my darling girl and her  on of her favorite Tiddly Inks Image  Purfect Birthday- Wryn.
Wryn is colored with Copics and printed on Cryogen White Curious Mettalics Paper.
Colors used are :

Skin: E000,E00,E04,E11,E21,R20
Hair: E95, E97, E99, E79
Clothes/Balloons: YG06, C3, C5, C9, BG01, BG10, BG15, BG49,
R12, R14, R17, Y32, Y35, Y38,

The background paper is Prima Princess Collection.  The frame is from Prima and the larger letters are American Crafts Thickers. The other items are  from my "leftovers bin"  but are from Basic Grey Prima, Pink Paislee, Kaisercraft, etc.  The majority are older so may not be available to purchase now but if there is something specific you want to know about please comment and I will do my best to track it down for you. :)

I hope you have enjoyed my creation and I encourage all of you to head over to the Design Team Call and check out all the other amazing creations that have been entered.
