Thinking spring on a gloomy day!

So today was the typical fall gloomy cold day in my neck of the woods. So decided I want to color something "Springy" bright and colorful to cheer me up.  Ppinkydolls Swan Girl was sitting printed out on my desk so it seemed only right I color her up. I decided to steer away from the traditional and go for bright hair and clothes.

The image is printed on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White cardstock usng my Kodak Inkjet printer. I lightened the lines to create a semi no line coloring effect. I am not quite ready for a full no line coloring image yet.  The patterned paper are some leftover Fabscaps sheets and the Cardstock I believe is an older Bazzil card stock. ( Its from my pile of color card stocks ...which I didn't label....opps). The Diecuts were all done using my Silhouette Cameo.

She is colored with Copics.  And the flowers were hand dyed using Lindy's Stamp Gang Color Shots Under the Boardwalk Set. I did use a bit of water color pencil to create a soft purple glow around her but its very faint so may be tough to see.

Copic Colors used:
Skin: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R32
Hair: RV52, RV55, RV66,RV69 R20, C2
Swan/Crown: E50, E42, Y15,Y32, Y02, Y35, Y38, YR15, YR31
Clothes:G40, G43, G21, C0, C2, C3, BG05, BG07, BG09

The lace and cheesecloth used is from my leftover lace stash. The flowers are my usual white I am Roses . But the small green stems are actually from a huge Christmas Wreath Floral I grabbed and Michaelswhich I have been trimming off small twigs and using.  100's of floral embellishments from a 9 dollar floral...awesome right!!! The pins are just pearl ended floral pins and the small rhinestones are Hot Fix 2mm rhinestones. I also accented her eyes with a bit of Glossy Accents to create a sheen.

Just a heads up!!

Hi all I have hidden all my posts made prior to April 2014. There have been a few nasty visitors to my site that I want to  edit some of my earlier works changing some watermark positions as well and blurring out any photos (very rare I post a picture of a person). If you are looking for any work that was here before please either comment on this post or send me a message through my FB site.

Thank you for your understanding.

Meow!

Welcome to another challenge Tuesday at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  This time the challenge is Black Cat.  I knew exactly which stamp I was using ..Fall Queen!

I kept the card fairly simple with letting the image take focus.  I also wanted to add some background to the image instead of my usual fussy cutting out.  The image is printed on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White paper using my trusty old Kodak Inkjet printer.

The image is colored with Copics and the background was created using my Derwent watercolor pencils.

The embellishments are from Harmonie paper compnay (chipboard) , Prima Marketing (Bling), and left over Christmas floral stems (gold swirls).  The chipboard peices  have been customized with Tim Holtz Distress Paint and Stickles.  All embellishments and papers were distressed with Tim Holtz Anitque Linen Distress Ink.  The finishing touches are a few scraps of vintage lace as well as some cheese cloth scrapes.

Trying something new!!!

So this weekend I decided to try something new. There are a couple of companies I have wanted to work with for awhile now but I have been focusing on my DT work for Tiddly Inks but this weekend I decided to make something and throw my hat in the ring try something new and just go for it.  First off  a call to my LSS to try and order me some  adorable C.C. Design stamps... fingers crossed they will come very soon so I can play. Then I had spotted these adorable and unique  Ppinky Dolls Stamps on the Kit and Clowder Facebook site and was intrigued. They were not like any of the other images I usually I have used (and they are digital so instant gratification) ..but they were so beautiful and innocent I was hooked! I decided to grab a couple from their Esty store and play.  First up is the is little girl with owl ..if you want your own you can purchase it HERE.

She is colored with Copic Makers (colors listed below) on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White Paper using my good old Kodak Inkjet.  I printed her at a slightly lighter adjustment than she comes to create a semi no line effect.   The background has been lightly smudged in color with my light lavender water color crayon to create some shadow.

The Papers used are all Prima  Epiphany paper line using there 4 by 6 and ATC paper pads as well as using sheets of Clear as Day and Manifestation of Love. All papers were then mounted on Curious Mettalics White Gold Card stock.  The Doilies and Medallion shape were both cut with my Silhouette Cameo using die files  "Quatrefoil Nested" and "Fancy Note Card" .  The lace is vintage , the sea foam tassel trim is by Prima as are the resin butterflies and the rhinestone semi circles. The flowers are white flowers purchased from I am Roses which I lightly dyed using  Lindy's Stamp Gang "Chateau Rose" Flat Shot diluted with water.  The golden steam flowers are actually vintage flowers recovered from the wedding arrangements at my own wedding 12 years ago. Just because the arrangements did not survive our moves didn't meant the flowers didn't and it means a little piece of that happy days gets sent of with every card I use them on! The rhinestone embellishments are just a few leftovers from my disappearing Bling box.... I better get it refilled soon!   Anyone have any good suggestions on finding bulk bling in North America??? if so please share!!

Colors used:
Skin: E000, E00, E04, E21, E11, R20, R32
Owl: E50, E42, E33, E35, Y02, YR15,
Dress: BG10, BG01, BG15,  BV00, BV02,
Eyes: G40, G21, G43, G07,
Hair: RV00, RV02, RV04, RV06,
Highlights: C0, C3, C4, C6

I hope you liked taking this new adventure with me. Please leave me your feedback . I will be coloring up a few more of these as well as my Tiddly Inks this weekend so stay tuned for some more new creations coming soon!

Are you ready for this treat....first you have to deal with the TRICK!!!!

So the trick this time around at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog  is that you must not use the Traditional Halloween Combo of Orange and Black. So I choose to take my inspiration from my paper. I used an older Halloween Stack by DCWV which fortunately  for me had some non traditional color combos.  So for this challenge I went with purple green and orange, and I wanted a simpler card something that would allow the focus to be on the Tiddly Ink Image.  I searched the Tiddly Ink Site and when I found this image in the Sugar and Spice Set  and knew exactly what to do. I modeled her after the Monster High Dolls that seem to have invaded my house.

She is colored with Copic Markers and accented with Stickles glitter glue.  The papers are all from the Halloween DCWV stack, except for the white dotted cards stock (unknown make).  The accents are glitter covered dots and rainbow twine yarn. The saying is a cut up border phrase from one of the pages in the stack.

Copics: C00, C02, C04, R20, R46, V01, V04, V06, V09, YG00, YG03, YG06, G07, YR04, YR07, YR68, C5

Stickles: Firefly, Orange Peel, Crystal, Purple

I  hope you have enjoyed this creation and that you hop on over to the Tiddly Ink Challenge Blog to play along yourself and see the other amazing Design Team Creations!

A couple weeks ago I was sitting inside because it was brutally cold out side ..everything was dark and miserable and all I could see that made me happy in that darkness was my Sunflowers!!! There were only a couple this year as it has been a cold dry summer, but they made me happy! I wanted to color and knew exactly who it would be .....
Tiddly Inks  Wryn- Sunny Day . Now sadly I don't have my color list for you.. but I will try and figure it out and add to this post later.  She is mounted on a card made of Graphic 45 French Country paper and Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Card stock.  I hope she brightens your days as much as she did mine!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and please make sure you check out my fellow Design Team members posts!  And make sure you share your work with us for a chance to win some wonderful prizes!!!

Only 78 Days till Christmas........Where did Summer go??????

Wow the summer went so fast and it seems like Fall is disappearing to ..I mean we already had snow a month ago but it just seems to be getting colder and colder!! That can mean only one thing ...Christmas is coming!!!!!   So to celebrate the changing season we have a wonderful new release over at Tiddly Inks Stamps!!! These three wonderful images I just wish I had time to create something with each of them this weekend, but I got busy with some birthday celebrations. So I decided to play with the adorable Christmas Cutie -Emma first.

I went simpler for this card focusing on the coloring of the image the most. I wanted to do something different so I went with a green hair color added some freckles and even did a bit of a background on the image.  She is printed on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White paper and colored with Copics using Derwent Watercolor pencils for the background. Paper is Carta Bella "so this is Christmas". Adorned with some stickles covered brads and Prima lace medallion. Then accented with puff paints, Diamond Stickles, and Glossy Accents.

Copics Used: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E15, E29, E37, E35, E42, E33,  C3, C5, C6, V12, V15, V17, Y35, Y32, YR04, YR07, Y38, R43, R46, R59, B01, B06, B04, G28, G40, G46

Time to hatch Brennan!!!!!!

Well the first post of today is dedicated to something very special! We are here today to celebrate the soon to come birth of Brennan, whose mom is our dear fellow Tiddly Inks team member Melissa. Melissa has been on the Tiddly Inks team since close to the beginning and although she has had to take some time off to deliver Brennan, we want her to know she is missed and that we are excited Brennan is going to be here REAL SOON (hear that Brennan). Please join us in celebrating this happy occasion by hopping along...or even better, by linking your own card to say hi to Melissa.

My card is shown below but if you want to see some more delightful cards, all the details for the blog hop can be found on Tiddlyinks Challenge blog and there is a LINKY tool for you to add your card there as well. We kept this blog hop simple....all the links will open in a new window from Christy's blog.

Now as for card details I used Tiddly Inks Treasured Friend printed on Curious Metallics Cryogen White paper. Colored with: Copics for the main image and Derwent Watercolor pencils for the faint background shading.

Copics used: C3,C5, BG10 ,BG34 ,BG09, YR12, YR04, YR07, YG03, YG07, G07
