Do you believe in Fairies?

So this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog we ask....Do you believe in fairies???  Who couldn't love them  right? Which Tiddly Ink Fairy is your favorite??  I know I had the hardest time choosing just one to work with this week...trust me you will see a few more in the future...but for now I chose to use one I had not worked with before. So introducing (if you have not met her before)  Sugar Plum Fairy!   She is colored with Copics on Curious Metallics Cryogen White card stock using a Kodak printer. The image is mounted on a simple layer card using BoBunny Enchanted Garden 6 inch Paper pad  and violet shade card stock. Its accented with some BoBunny Enchanted Garden buttons, lace scraps, and paper accents cut out of the paper pad.  The layers are all trimmed with Peacock Feather Distress ink and Diamond Stickles.  The small circles are accented with glossy accents.

Its back to school with a Tiddly Inks Fab Friday

Hi crafters I hope you are having an amazing week. Ours started off with a nasty bang.....SNOW!!!!  First week of September and snow already...this is crazy even for us. Schools down south had to call snow days in only the second week of school.  I personally had to rush out in the snow and pick all of my veggies.... BOOO.  Needless to say I will be making some green tomato relish.

But its Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks and to celebrate back to school I made the card featuring the adorable SchoolBoy and Extras  .

I fussy cut out SchoolBoy  and is  mounted on a multi layer card using a vintage Simple Stories line. Embellishments are vintage brads and buttons.  The sentiment is a Project Life card cut down.

SchoolBoy is colored with Copics on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White Paper.

Contests whatever my mood desires.

This time the challenge that was given was a color scheme! Its stunning and warm and reminds me of summer (which is slipping away far to quickly here) but its not a color palette I am used to using. But we all have to try new things right???..or is that just  what I say to get my kids   to get them to try something... hmm. Well it worked! It gave me a chance to search through my hoard of  supplies and try something new.

So here she is darling little Emma from the Celebrate Joyfully set which is available in both Digtial and Clear versions.  She is printed off in 3.5 by 5 inch format on Cryogen White Iridescent Metallic Card stock using my Kodak printer.  She is colored with Copic Sketch Markers , and I tried something new...freckles...Love them but they scare me putting that dark of a color on the face you don't want to screw up right.  :)

Face/ Skin: E000,E00,E04,E11,E21, R20 E37 (Freckles)
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37, E79, W3

Pink Dress/ Flower Centers: R02, R32, R43
Orange underskirt: YR00, YR02, YR15, Y38

The card is 5 by 7 format with the base and solid color layer made with Tim Holtz Distress Card stock. The patterned papers are all from the Echo Park Mini Kit Bundle of Joy (Girl). The background layer was run through my Silhouette Cameo with design  " Circle pattern overlay" which I cut at 6.75 by 4.75 inches to fit the card.  The embellishment are random buttons from my button box, I am Roses flowers (which I hand dyed using various ink sprays) , lace medallions from Prima Marketing, and jewels and brads from my random stuff box. The sentiment came from one of my project life card I just cut out the sentiment I wanted.

Here are come close up veiws of the card. As always I love to hear from you so if you have questions or comments please share them!!!!  Come back tomorrow for detail on the inside of the card!!!

Thanks for stopping by I will see you soon! And I hope you will all play along on....

I Have Exciting News!!!!

So in case you had not heard I have been named to the Tiddly Inks Design Team!!! I am am so excited..my kids will vouch for the fact I was squealing with joy when I read the email from Christy. I had not wanted to get my hopes up ..there were over a hundred amazing entries and she was only selecting 6 of us....eeek.
I want to congratulate the fellow ladies going the team ( I will be adding a link to the blog so you can check out all of there blogs). As well as the Top 25 entries that Christy chose, everyone's work was fantastic and I hope you all try out again in December for her next DT call!!!

Many of you know my love for Tiddly Ink Stamps... they were the first digital stamps I ever purchased (thanks to some gentle pushing from Alyce) . I love all the characters but have a soft spot in my heart for Wryn she reminds me so much of my little girl...though she isn't so little anymore as she kindly reminds me  she is 8 going on 18....lol!

Anyway here is the card that one me the spot if you hadn't already seen my previous post. It features the stamp Wryn- Howdy Cowgirl please check out my post here for further details.

Now on to some new stuff... Yesterday was my nephews 2nd birthday party ...It was a Dinosaur theme event so who better to use for my card than Tiddly Inks King of the Wild Ones Stamp the is stamp is available in both digital as well as clear stamp set . I printed him on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White Cardstock and he is colored with Copic Markers.  Now I must apologize the photos were taken quickly with my cell phone in a dark room so I had to brighten them using PicMonkey in order for them to look like they should...but they still look like I was blazing the spotlight on them.

Anyway here he is ... I used Copic Sketch Markers:  E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E25, E29, E33, E35, E42, E47, W3, W5, C5, R20,Y02, Y06, Y11, Y38, YR04, YR07, YR12, YR15, YG03, YG06, YG11, G07, BG01, BG05, BG07

Its a CAS (Clean and Simple) Card ..not my usual style but I wanted the little man take center stage of the card. Its mounted on Canadian Scapbooker Super Stock and accented with DCWV "Nana's Kids" paper and My little Shoebox Mini Alphabet Stickers and Heidi Swapp Color Magic Banners colored with Copics.

I hope you enjoyed  the post and stay tuned for all the wonderful Tiddly Ink Creations that will be coming your way shortly!

I'm back and ...... Tiddly Inks Design Team Call!!!!!

Anyone who has small children will understand how busy those last few weeks of school and first weeks of summer can be. I have 4 little ones (ages 1 to 8)  so you can imagine the scheduling that is required to keep everyone and everything on track.  After the controlled chaos of last year I decided something had to give...or at least go on Hiatus for a few weeks. Unfortunately for me ..it was my art. So  I set the goal that until we got back from camping ..other than the odd card for a birthday or special customer request I would focus on my kids and house.  Now I ALWAYS put my family or any work/ Design Team  related commitments first. But I have been known to let the chores or renovations wait in order to allow my creativity flow....or be known to stay up way way to late and put my health at risk in order to get everything done.  But we are back from our short but sweet camping trip and I have played around with a few things  while dealing with sick kids and hubby and I am ready get back to my LOVE for crafting.   But what better way to start blogging again than with a card I made for the Awesome Tiddly Inks Design Team Call!   Tiddly Inks were the first ever digital images I ever purchased ...and I have been hooked ever since!  I love all the images but have to say have a special place in my heart for Wryn... she reminds me so much of my little girl!

So for my card I chose to use Wryn - Howdy Cowgirl  she is printed on Curious Mettalics Cryogen White Cardstock and I used the 3.5 by 5 photo size on my Kodak printer. I find the images printed at this size perfect for a card from standard A4 to a 6 inch square.  It allows the image to be the focal point (as it should be ) but also give you the room to accessorize the card to enhance the image.  The image is colored with Copic Sketch Markers using techniques learnt from Alyce's free color videos at Kit and Clowder.  I just signed up for her classes and can't wait to learn more!!!!

Colors used : E000, E00, E04, E11, E13, E15, E18, E21, E25, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, E42, E47, E74, E79, R20, C3, C5, W3, 100, YG03, YG06, YG11, G07, BG01, BG05, BG07, BG09, BV25, BV29

The pattern paper used is from October Afternoon's Sasperilla line, the sentiment is from a Project Life card cut down.  These are all mounted on BoBunny's Vintage Dot cardstock in Chocolate color.  Everything has been distressed with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

The trellis cut out is down with my Silhouette Cameo  ( I am in LOVE with this machine!!). The image file is Flourish Heart Lattice and I trimmed it down after cutting it out on white card stock and coating it with Lindys Stamp Gang Steampunk Sepia  Color Shot then distressing with the Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
The lace ribbon and burlap are from my scraps drawer, and the resin flower and button from my bling odds and ends.  The button is tied with Primas new wire   I used the Stark White color and dyed it with my Distress Ink. This stuff is great for adding a controlled string look to any project.

Anyway I hope you enjoy my project , I loved making it!  I think tonight I am going to try my hand a a mix media card using the lovely Wryn- Hanging Around ! Head on over to Tiddly Inks and see all that there is to offer, and while you there check out all the wonderful submissions for the Design Team. So much  to inspire you with!!!

Hope to see you soon!!!!

Opps... 15 mins later and I'm already back adding stuff I forgot! The card is based on a sketch  I had copied onto a piece of paper on my desk...now usually I am good about writing down where it cam from so I can give credit where it is due ..But part of the paper is missing so I am guessing that I wrote it down there and was stolen by hubby or kids.  If this is you sketch or you know whose sketch it is please let me know so I can give credit where it is due!! Sometimes I work from a sketch or a layout of others sometimes I free hand it but if I use something for inspiration from someone they deserve to be recognized.... the same way as if you use something of mine all I ask is to be recognized for the inspiration.    Thanks everyone!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Spot Challenge time again!!!!!

So I have been very busy over the last 2 months with family things that I have barley had time to do anything crafty besides the odd birthday card... and a couple of pages I will share these later.

BUT Kim Reid the owner of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps announced another guest design team member competition so I had to join in...... I loved hanging out with these girls so much last time. So fingers crossed it will happen again!!!!

Here is a card I created for a magic obsessed birthday girl. It features the wonderful Tabitha stamp and phrase set. The color palette is her favorite colors..dark pink, purple, green and brown.  The papers are all Basic Grey from my scraps bin. The rhinestones and bling are from Prima but they are older.   I of course colored her with Copics.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I hope my watermark wont bother anyone...the amazing Nikki made it for me and it goes on everything now.. Far to much image theft going on these days.
